The Sweetest with Elizabeth

Penny Black's miniature transparent set, 30-294 the Sweetest, is on both of our art tables this week. Here's how we each used the same stamp... but in very different ways.

This little transparent set has so many possibilities!  Today I am using the images to create a card for Mother's Day.

This miniature watercolor measures a mere 2 x 4 1/2.

By coloring directly on the stamp with markers and then misting with water, a soft a delicate array of blooms were created.  More definition and color were added with watercolor pencils.  The soft background was burnished in with a sponge dauber and Dandelion Memento ink.

With a small altered tag (Flower Tags) and a colored staple, it is easy to share a bouquet of good wishes with all your friends and family.

We can't wait to show you how it's blossomed and bloomed as stamps and ink meet cardstock!

Flicker & Flutter with Elizabeth

This week Penny Black's Creative Die 51-110 Flicker & Flutter is flying around the STUDIO. We're excited to be sharing our creative ideas, both of us using the same die.

Ooh, look what landed on my card!  I love this die cut set of butterflies from Penny Black.  After cutting and coloring they immediately take flight.

For today's flutter, I went with a compilation of colors and gel mediums to create an acrylic embellishment.

I kept the adornment simple with a single silver pearl gem.

This background is so easy.  A little bit of Pear Tart Memento ink applied over Penny Black's Patina stencil and viola you're done!

To set off the design, I used a small piece of patterned paper from the Coco Style designer paper pad by Penny Black.

Thank you for fluttering by this week to visit me and Jill.

Flicker & Flutter with Jill

This week Penny Black's Creative Die 51-110 Flicker & Flutter is flying around the STUDIO. We're excited to be sharing our creative ideas, both of us using the same die.
Oh, how I love butterflies!  So when I created my card I had to add LOTS of them...
I combined 51-110 Flicker & Flutter with additional butterflies from Penny Black's Creative Die set, 51-132 Flights of Fancy.
By adhering each butterfly with dimensional adhesive, this card has lots of dimension. Maybe one of those butterflies just might fly off! :)
